Loch Ness Monster | Eleven Traditional Songs
So happy to announce that Max is getting the chance to help with Loch Ness Monster's new album, Eleven Traditional Songs. Recorded with ex-Ashtray Babyhead's Jason Tedford at Wolfman Studios. We'll update the Max mp3 player with a track in the next week or so. In the meantime go ahead and put the release show date on your calendar. Friday, August 8th at White Water Tavern with Dragoon [members of Trusty & The Grifters]. Plus we hear talk of Brian Hirrel cooking up a complimentary meal for the event. Can't wait!
New Newz | Pre-July Updater
Sorry for the lack of gab, but we've been watching / reading as the good press rolls in for the new reocords. The local press always comes first [thanks for the support and attention!]. Good gab happened for Isaac, Jason, and The Good Fear's new albums. Check the respective artists pages for the new reviews. We'll be updating each as more arrive.
Jason Morphew | Free Download!
As promised, a great new track from Jason's new album Vaporizer. This one's called "I Know Goodbye". For fans it's totally essential, for the uninitiated a very nice intro song to the new disc. Enjoy!
FHT | The Recap
No way to imagine that Big Catter Jason White would return with GD not with the band proper but with the livelier Foxboro Hot Tub version. All of which was a complete blast. Warm fuzzies all around to hear Billie's ode to Jason at the top of their set at Juanitas. Anyways, lots to report...
The Foxboro tour ended last night and so while it's all at an indefinite pause we'll do our best at documenting the madness by doling out some of our fave links to the action. Here goes:
Kevin + Battery barreled through a ton of new songs at Riverfest on Saturday. A few douses of rain didn't deter the fans [or the stragglers], and we managed to get a new song to You Tube for yer viewing. Speaking of new Kerby-ness...recordings are in progress on record #2. We promise to update you with more next month.

A hard ticket to get, but tomorrows Foxboro Hottubs show should be a total blast. You can follow the vibe from this weekends shows here. Full-on get down mode, with no seriousness in sight. Skip work, stand in line, and we'll see you there.
Riverfest line-ups are announced and it's the usual hum drum you'd expect. Save for the fact that organizers finally pulled off an Arkansas stage chock full of goodness. Max friends Kevin Kerby & Battery, The Moving Front, Grand Serenade, Boondogs + The Nobility, Epiphany, Sara Thomas, and Jim Dickinson. Can't wait!
We'd been idling away the time - getting by on snippets of info - about the new Prince's video. Wait no longer, it's out and can be found here. Like Rock Candy says it's absolutely involved and as-per-usual from the Deluxe 36 guys, it's freaking sweet. Deluxe 36 rules the roost!
Next month brings the first 2008 Max releases to you. The oft hailed Good Fear disc [Dirty Lowdown Adventure], Jason Morphew's Vaporizer and last but not least - See Thru Me - the debut solo effort from Isaac Alexander. Ex-LRer John Pugh and his new effort Free Blood is currently out opening a set of shows for Hot Chip. Head to their Myspace page to check out the "Royal Family" video, a massive influences list, and vintage Obama photos.
