We're in the process of a big website overhaul. During the next month band pages and the Max Store will be offline. If you need to make an order for a CD, LP, or T-Shirt please email us at email@example.com and we'll be happy to send you what you need.
CHRIS MICHAELS | HALLOWED GROUND CD
Chris Michaels [of the Boondogs] dishes out songs that are so pleasantly unhurried and without any hurrah that you'd think they were easy to take for granted. I assure they are not. At times he builds up steam for a great slice of rock n roll ["Locks & Keys"] but more often than not he's locking into something a bit slower and even more intense [the fantastic "Come On In" or maybe even better "Simple"]. Does it sound like we're a fan? We are, and you probably are too.
DREXEL & THE SPIRIT | NEW ALBUM
New Yorker via Little Rocker, Drexel Baker is tidying up the last bits of his third full length - titled, Strange Mystery - out November 12th on Max Recordings. With this new collection of songs he is still looking, but he has also found. The songs ring with hope, reflection, and understanding. He talks about the women in his life, his heroes, and, the places and events that shape him as an artist and as a man.
BAD YEARS / CROOKED ROOTS | SPLIT 7"
We're thrilled to be helping the latest crop of Little Rock punk rock get on the map. Later this month, we've got a split 7" from Bad Years and Crooked Roots. Quite rightfully tying the generations together is the fantastic front and back cover art from Nate Powell [Soophie Nun Squad, Any Empire, Swallow Me Whole].
ISAAC ALEXANDER | ANTIVENIN LP
We've got a limited run of Isaac's latest long player - Antivenin Suite - on 180g vinyl. The first 50 are on light gray marbled vinyl, the rest on black. All of them sound absolutely great. Click the album artwork on the left of this screen to buy it now.
TREVOR WARE | MEDICAL FUND
Our dear friend Trevor from Grand Serenade was struck from behind while on his motorcycle just a year ago. Through his own hard work and the love of his friends and family he has made significant progress. That said, his medical bills are staggering and he needs our help.
