Little Rock’s, The Easys make music that is hard not to like. Genuine, skilled, and with enough worthy melodies to keep you listening. Their second release [and their first for Max Recordings] lands this March 27 with the album, Blood Capsule.
Recorded in bunches over the past year & a half, Blood Capsule, certainly doesn’t come across as a pastiche. Rather, it builds with the opening piano strains of “Bitter Dreams” and concludes with the Wilco-esque, sunniness of “Dandelions”. Along the way, guitarist Charles Wyrick traipses effected lines around Isaac Alexander’s plaintive vocals. All in all, it amounts to a very winning effort.
